Shandong Jiejing Group Corporation was founded in 1968. In order to alleviate the shortage of iodine for national defense, the government allocated funds to build a chemical workshop, and began small-scale production of iodine, mannitol and sodium alginate. On June 28, 1993, as the second batch of joint-stock pilot enterprises in Shandong and the first batch of joint-stock pilot enterprises in Rizhao City, it became the first joint-stock enterprise in Rizhao. In December 1994, Jiejing obtained the right to import and export. Jiejing is a manufacturing enterprise in brown seaweed comprehensive processing industry with a long history in China, a leading enterprise and a blue economy demonstration enterprise in Shandong Peninsula, a governing unit of China Algae Industry Association, an executive director unit of Shandong Seaweed Industry Association, and vice-chairman unit of China Biostimulant Development Alliance, the chairman unit of Rizhao Seaweed Industry Association, and the director unit of Rizhao Enterprise Culture Research Association.
The production of alginate ranks in the forefront of the industry, and it is a large-scale industrial production enterprise of fucoidan and fucoxanthin in China. The current annual production capacity is 8,000 tons of sodium alginate, 1,500 tons of PGA, 10 tons of fucoidan, 1 ton of fucoxanthin, 20 tons of alginate oligosaccharides, 3,000 tons of liquid seaweed extract, and 2,000 tons of seaweed extract powder and flakes.

Alginate:
On December 20, 2021, "Jiejing" sodium alginate was rated as a well-known brand in Shandong China.
On July 26, 2020, the STS regional key project "Integration and Demonstration of Alginate Clean Production Technology" jointly undertaken by the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shandong Jiejing passed the project acceptance. Shandong Jiejing insists on in-depth cooperation between industry, university and research institutes, empowers traditional production processes to improve quality and efficiency, and has achieved good results in the development of modern marine industries.
On April 1, 2021, the national textile industry standard "Sodium Alginate Fiber Grade" (FZ/T51018-2020) was officially implemented. As the second drafting unit,Shandong Jiejing participated in the whole process to draft the enterprise standard, association group standard and industry standard.
Fucoxanthin:
On December 11, 2020, Shandong Jiejing participated in the third meeting of the seventh council of the China Algae Industry Association. The meeting announced the group standard of "Brown Seaweed Fucoxanthin Extract". Shandong Jiejing was the first drafter of the standard and initiated the application for project approval.
Fucoidan:
Shandong Jiejing Group has a patented technology to extract fucoidan from brown seaweed by using edible water as a solvent medium. No organic solvent is used in the whole production process, and there is no risk of organic solvent residue in the fucoidan powder. And Shandong Jiejing participated in the drafting of fucoidan standards for the aquatic industry of the People's Republic of China.
Seaweed extract:
On October 13, 2021, Shandong Jiejing Group Corporation participated in the 6th ICAB 2021 International Conference on Agricultural Biostimulants (Wuhan), and Jiejing's products won the ICAB China Biostimulant Top Ten Raw Material Brand Award.
